VII National Meeting of the Italian Local Food Policies Network

AREFLH is a partner of the LOWINFOOD, a project that focuses on “Multi-actor design of low-waste food value chains through the demonstration of innovative solutions to reduce food loss and Waste”. LOWINFOOD supports the reduction of the loss and waste in the European Union by demonstrating innovative solutions following a multi-actor approach that involves actors along the entire value chain.
The coordinator Clara Cicatiello and other Italian partners joined the 7th Italian Local Food Policies Networking meeting on 25-27 January 2024, that was held in Bari in Puglia Region. This is an informal network of researchers, associations, people from public institutions and citizens which aims to raise attention towards local food polices that are needed to make our food system more sustainable.
The coordinator of the project shared the progress of LOWINFOOD in a parallel session dedicated to food prevention but the meeting was much more : it was two days of intense exchange, discussion and network in relation to food sustainability.
