AREFLH is a partner of LivingSoiLL – “Healthy Soil to Permanent Crops Living Labs”, an Horizon Europe project funded by the European Commission.
The project held a series of Co-Creation Workshops hosted by the Living Labs. They brought together experts, farmers, and local stakeholders to address the critical issue of soil health. These workshops focused on two main activities:
- Activity 1: Identifying the primary threats to soil health and discussing strategies to tackle these challenges. Participants were asked to share the soil health threats they currently face on their properties, as well as the strategies they have adopted or are familiar with to combat these issues.
- Activity 2: Encouraging participants to express their hopes and concerns about the implementation of Experimental Sites, fostering an open dialogue on the potential benefits and challenges of such initiatives.
The workshops were held at various locations:
- The Luso-Galician workshop took place on October 24, 2024, at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), organized by the University of Porto in collaboration with UTAD, in Portugal.
- The Andalusian LL workshop was held on January 30, 2025, at the Antonio Machado Campus, Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA) in Baeza (Jaén), Spain.
