LivingSoiLL : consortium meeting of February 2026
AREFLH is a partner of LivingSoiLL – “Healthy Soil to Permanent Crops Living Labs”, an Horizon Europe project funded by the European Commission.
The LivingSoiLL Consortium Meeting was held online on 13 February, bringing together representatives from all Work Packages (WPs) to review progress and accelerate implementation across the five Living Labs.
The meeting followed a structured agenda covering project management, Living Lab implementation, research and monitoring, communication and dissemination, and business model development.
The day began with WP1 discussions on project management, including financial and technical coordination, quality assurance, risk management, and KPI tracking.
One of the central focus of the meeting was the ongoing activities of the regional Living Labs. Partners shared updates on:
- Integration of new stakeholders through the Open Call
- Status of solution implementation at experimental sites (EXPS)
- Capacity-building activities for farmers and facilitators
- Coordination of co-creation processes
- Monitoring and impact assessment planning
The consortium also reviewed progress on soil baseline establishment, monitoring frameworks, erosion modelling, climate projections, and the development of the LivingSoiLL soil database.
The meeting concluded with the definition of next steps across Work Packages and the announcement that the next in-person Consortium Meeting will be hosted by the Andalusian Living Lab.
As LivingSoiLL advances into its implementation phase, the consortium continues to focus on coordinated action, robust monitoring, and collaborative innovation to improve soil health across Europe.
